Synopsis
When two Marine Archeologists die on the job, a rumour spreads throughout their small Northern Alberta town of a hidden treasure buried on their farm. 10 years later, 18 year old Ridley is haunted by the death of his parents and hopelessly dreams of going to college and moving on with his life. Unfortunately, his 12-year-old sister, Amelia, is desperate to connect with their parents' memory and spends her days obsessively searching for the rumoured treasure.
When a group of thieves (led by Ridley's ex-boyfriend) show up at the secluded property, intent on claiming the treasure for themselves, the sibling's relationship is challenged and they are forced to face reality in order to survive.

Rogan Coffey (He/Him) is an Edmonton based actor from rural Alberta. He completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting at the University of Alberta in 2023, and has since enjoyed pursuing acting in both theatre and film.

Amelia Decker
Ryleigh Becklur
From musical theatre Summer camps and dance recitals to her stage debut playing Baby Bear in Shrek the musical, Ryleigh’s creative pursuits continue to expand. She’s excited to develop the character of Ameila in her film debut.

Noelle Schallhorn
Noelle Schallhorn (she/they) is a multi-faceted creative from the Peace Region with a passion for performing arts. After tackling acting, writing, and directing for stage, Noelle is thrilled to be taking on the challenge of acting for film as "Cal" in Tough Love.

Lucas Woodruff
Drawing from his background a sawmill laborer and mortician, Lucas infuses his performances with profound emotional depth, exploring themes of mortality and resilience. He aims to connect with audiences on a deeply emotional level, offering a voice to the overlooked while finding beauty in life's darker moments

Leanne Bausman
Filmmaker, photographer and passionate creative Leanne Bausman understands that a great story is more simple to share than it is complex. When she isn’t deep into work, Leanne loves expressing her creativity through painting and music.

John-Mark Smith
John-Mark Smith has been a musical theatre performer for eight years and this is his first involvement with a film production. He is very excited for what this experience will hold for him.

James R.Galbraith-active member of many productions with Grande Prairie Live Theatre. Most recent role-Mr. Florean in "To Sir With Love". James has been involved w/amatuer theatre for 30 years PLUS tuba player for GP Community Orchestra & Wind Ensemble.

Erin Lynch
Erin loves to sing and has sung in choirs since she was young, which created a passion for theatre. Over the past 7 years she's done a variety of shows with Grande Prairie Live Theatre and is looking forward to being a part of "Tough Love" as Oma.

Amy grew up in a small town in Northern Alberta, has been active in community theater since 2009, and has worked on short films as both an actress and a crew member. She loves creative outlets that bring like-minded individuals together and sees acting as a fundamental part of enjoying life

Neil Evans
An RN by trade, Neil was born and raised in the Peace Country and comes with a passion for cinema since a very early age. A local to the Fort St. John area, Neil has been involved with many community events and has a passion in event planning. This film will be a dream come true for Neil.

Young Ridley
Maverick Evans
New to the film industry, Maverick brings with him a personality like no other. Bursting at the seam with charisma and charm, Maverick is a natural entertainer with a very promising future in film. Recently he had the pleasure of meeting actor Terry Ryan from the show “Shoresy”, who encouraged Maverick to begin his career.

Starting out as an actress, singer, and dancer at the age of 12, Jessica was heavily influenced by Broadway musicals and the local theatre scene. Now, with over 20 years of live theatre experience and 5 years of film, Jessica endeavors to inspire and empower future artists.

Louwrens Olivier
I am an independent filmmaker based in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Usually working behind the camera I am inspired to find my artistic and creative voice. I have written, directed, edited and have been a cinematographer on a number of short films.

Clarissa Mapp
Clarissa is a visual artist and educator who has considerable experience in local theatre and film productions, working on makeup, special effects, hair, wardrobe, props, set design, and writing. Her favourite role is to help bring someone's creative vision to life, and she looks forward to the opportunity to do so for Tough Love.
